The clarity to see it.
The steadiness
to change it.
Illume Counseling is a boutique therapy practice for individuals, couples, and families across the full lifespan, from children to older adults, working through anxiety, depression, grief, relationship strain, and the quieter forms of difficulty that don't always have a name.
for people whose lives resist simple explanations."
People carrying more than
they let anyone see
When the life you built
no longer fits
Anxiety that hums beneath competence. Relationships that have gone quiet. Grief that reorganized everything. The slow recognition that something needs to shift, and you're not sure what.
When the household
needs a reset
Parenting strain. Conflict that keeps circling. A child or teen who needs steadier support. Families where everyone is reacting, and no one feels heard. The work is changing the pattern.
When the next move
isn't obvious
Success that stopped feeling like enough. A role you've outgrown. A change you didn't choose, or one you can't stop circling. The work of deciding what comes next, and who you are outside the title.
When later life poses
harder questions
Retirement that arrived without a plan. Caregiving that depleted you. Loss that compounded. The identity shifts and existential questions that surface when the structure you relied on changes beneath you.
The people who do best here are the ones who stopped wanting to be fixed and started wanting to understand.
We started Illume because we both believe therapy works best when it's treated as serious, thoughtful work between adults. Not as a performance of care. Not as a script. Just a space where something honest can finally happen, and where that honesty leads somewhere. A boutique practice, rooted in Cary and the greater Triangle.
The Coordinated Visit
Therapy that fits a real family schedule. Parent and child sessions, or full family work, in a single coordinated visit with clinicians who communicate around shared goals.
Now enrolling small, focused
group cohorts
Four 90-minute sessions for $250. Vladimir leads groups on career and professional transition. Diane leads groups for parents. New cohorts begin approximately every six weeks.
A small team. Distinct strengths.
One shared standard.
Illume is small by design. Every client works directly with a senior clinician, each bringing a different lens to the work, held to the same measure of care.
